About this calendar
Most advent calendars are gone by Boxing Day. This one is meant to stay. Each of the 24 days brings a genuine fossil specimen — a small, real piece of Earth's history — so that by Christmas Eve you have gathered a collection spanning deep time.
It is designed in the same spirit as the rest of our shop: honestly described, carefully chosen, and made for people who find ancient life genuinely fascinating.
Calendar details
Every one of the 24 fossils is real. Together they span hundreds of millions of years of Earth's history, with specimens that may include dinosaurs, ammonites, trilobites, sharks and many more. We are not listing every specimen in advance, and each fossil varies naturally in size, shape and colour.
